New gypsy

Half-way between hippie and folk, the 2019 spring-summer trend

For the next season, fashion wants us to be a little bit gypsy. Oversized models and a full palette of colours to chase off the rigours of winter, between foulard prints and patchwork as we have seen on the catwalks of great designers. This is the style that is immediately reminiscent of ruffled, flared long skirts with large flowers, like those made of silk voile by Erdem, and those certainly more camp by Gucci, flounced, with contrasting patterns, made of metallic, iridescent fabric. But it is also the style of fringes in clothes that recall the shawls of flamenco dancers, like those by Asos, which fully cover the Balmain trousers, or which draw the background of Missoni pants. To look like a real gypsy queen, you can also choose the waisted dresses by Altuzarra with a fretworked knitted effect and fringes that are made longer by the hem.
